Profile of Ground Water Department,Rajanna Sircilla District.
District Office of the Ground Water Department is headed by District Ground Water Officer.Ground Water Department is multidisciplinary lined department deals with Ground Water monitoring,exploration,recharging,assessment and overall management of the Ground Water regime.Basing on the ground water studies,suggests measured to be taken in Ground Water stressed areas and water losing areas.It is publishing ground water scenarios and maintains monthly ground water data at district level.It is having technical role in Implementation of Walta Act and TSiPASS.Department conducts ground water surveys for well sites to use for Agriculture,Industrial,domestic etc.,and for recharge structures like Check Dams,Recharge Shafts,Percolation Tanks etc.,in over stressed/deep Ground Water Zones.
